By checking that your pattern contains all the information the tech editor, and future knitters, need beforehand, you can reduce the tech editing time.
Like sorting your refrigerator and pantry before grocery shopping can reveal edible food you already have and don’t need to purchase, doing a quick edit of your pattern can save you money in the tech editing process.
After helping several designers tech edit their knitting patterns, I created the following checklist. By having all the boxes below checked before the actual tech editing begins, the time, price, and number of emails written and sent can be reduced greatly.
